I mentioned a couple posts ago that I was coming through a bunch of cities. It turns out I have the most time in Sydney, where I’ve never been. I know that there are more than a few Audition users there I was thinking that it would be fun for some of us to get together after the seminar on Feb 28th for some food or drinks and chat about Audition, audio, and just generally put faces with names. That way I can meet some of you all even if you can’t make it to the main seminar. Interested? Leave a comment and make sure to put your email address in the email field and we’ll plan something! If anyone is game I’d also be interested in seeing some studios where Audition is in use while I’m down there. I’ll be in town for a couple days past the seminar.
Finally, any suggestions for what I should do with my little bit of free time while I’m in town?

If you like sushi, check out a place called Yoshii. It’s pretty amazing sushi and likely some of the best in Sydney.
Hart knows I’d be there if I could, but sadly it’s not possible – but hey, I hope some of the others in those parts can get there and raise a glass to missing friends!
Hi Hart,I would highly suggest a quick runaway to the whitside islands up north from sydney, a cheap helicopter tour can make a beautiful white sand island yours for a day! Also get out and see the blue mountains, stunning!and ALSO think of a way to Adobe Audition 2.0 will support my RME Fireface 800 as it does not very well, but AA 1.5 does (MME supported and sound good). There are many studios using RME Fireface (1500 dollar interface of great DAC quality)…I know you can think of a way, until then i cant buy AA 2.0, which is sad because the demo has a great interface, mixer&mastering…sadly its ASIO support for me is horrible when i enable any plugs, because it seems to commandeer all channels at once! (rme support forum, multiple members confirm this)enjoy your trip!Let the southern hemispheres summer warm you,and dont forget about us RME Fireface 800 Users!!!Sun
Damn straight! I’ll be there for the conference/roadshow thingamejiggy, and keen to hook up afterwards for a chat. I can organise a tour through the ABC head offices in Ultimo if you like? It’s only about 3km from Refern. In the meantime, I’ll see if I can convince some other Audition users to come along… shouldn’t be too hard!
.. on my last visit to Sydney, I was told a “bridge climb” of the Sydney Harbour Bridge is a must, and you can do them at night.A mini trip I made myself was to the Taronga Zoo. You catch the ferry across and have a nice view of Sydney harbour (Opera House etc.).I’ll stay in Western Australia the 28th, but will be sitting in on the webcast of your presentation
and am looking forward to it.
Hello!I’m definitely keen to meet yourself and other users sometime in Sydney. Let me know whats happening!
