I just got word that James over at vuplayer.com has confirmed that his .flt format plug-ins that he originally wrote for Cool Edit are working fine in Audition 2.0! I believe that in particular the FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) plug-in will be really useful to some folks, but James also has his own implementations of audio export for Ogg Vorbis, Windows Media Audio, QuickTime, and MOD music. If you like them, he simply asks for a donation so please make his day if you find them useful!

The Wavpack filter for Audition still works nicely too – http://www.wavpack.com – not only provides good lossless compression but also provides full support for saving all markers with the file. And while at the VuPlayer site, VuPlayer itself is a very handy audio player worth a download.
Wondering about support for .aac in Audition 2 ??
Martyn,I knew of an AAC filter but when I went to look for it I couldn’t find it. I did a Google search and found this, though:http://rarewares.org/aac.htmlI can’t vouch for it, but it looks like it’s worth a try.
Don’t encode audio files withhttp://rarewares.org/aac.htmlAAC-MP4 filter…This filter is sux & none-standard…Winamp AAC-MP4 encoder is much better. And i need a Real Audio filtertoo.Where i can find it.It’s like hell to find.& WavPack hybrid mode is the best lossy audio compression like MP3-AAC.Good quality with lower size.
Hello..Do you know any sites from where I can download Adobe Audition 2.0 plugins?
Thanks !!!cool_faac .rar is only one free solution for working with m4a files in audition 2.0. I unzip into Adobe audition 2 folder in program files and work.I try some others but without results.
