Rock 'n Roll vs. the Mob?

This is a fascinating article, even if it IS a bit tangential to the music business. Apparently one of the only remaining factories for tubes for music gear is under threat from organized crime in Russia. I've been worried about takeovers before, but never anything like this!

Sometimes I wonder just how much spin is put on these reports. Yes, the tube buisiness is small, so all of the players have some significance, certainly, but some people involved in it still seem to think that in a rather better-connected world, that overplaying their case is still worth doing, even though it's dead easy to get some other perspectives which rather show them up somewhat...

For perhaps a little perspective on this one, this might be worth a read too, in conjunction with Hart's original link.
