Audio Masters Forum
Earlier this week the folks who run www.audiomastersforum.net let me know that it’s back up and online after a brief hiatus. The Audio Masters Forum is the premiere independent community dedicated to discussing using Audition so it’s great that they were able to get the whole system up and running again. The forum also has a full archive of posts dating back to the original Syntrillium user-to-user forums so that they provide a unique value with continuity all the way back six or seven years. In any case it makes a for a great resource along with the official forms at www.adobeforums.com.
They let me know a few days ago but I wanted to give them a few days to work out the kinks on the new server before sending anyone over. Note that the URL is new (there was a little hiccup with the old one) so update your bookmarks.
Thanks, guys, and keep up the great work!

It seems that the 'Audio Masters Forum' is down again as of today (September 28) thought it was on yesterday--since I posted questions.
is this correct?
I've been out of the office for a while so I'm not sure if it was down, but in any case Audio Masters is independent so I'm just a member like everyone else. --Hart

Kevin,
I'm sorry to hear that--I have no idea what might have happened. I'd recommend you contact Adobe's technical support or visit the forums linked above or the official forums at www.adobeforums.com to see if someone can help you figure out what happened.
Best of luck!

When I edit files in Audition 1.5 and 'save' the file, I watch the blue bar for a minute or so while it saves the file..what I just found out is that for some weeks now all my editing was not saved at all.
I activated the software when I first installed it.
This morning I went to 'add/remove programs' and repaired the software. Then brought up a file and hard limited it...saved it..brought it back up, and nothing is being saved.
I just lost months of work and am really bummed.
If anyone can help me sort this out, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance,
Kevin

Thanks for the mention, Hart. The latest info about the site actually relates to the Syntrillium archive. We currently have a rather strange search facility available, but ultimately we hope that we will be able to get Google to re-index the archive completely. This should ultimately be in a slightly better form than its previous incarnation - what I'd like, and would prefer, is if it only searched through archive posts, instead of the entire forum index, which is what it did previously. We'll see...
New members are always welcome, of course. We do have a few things there that you won't find on the Adobe u2u site - one of them is a showcase forum, where you can present material you are working on, and get (usually helpful) criticism and advice - we get quite a bit of radio imaging posted on there, and it can be quite interesting to listen to things develop. Audition is still very much a primary tool in radio, and is increasingly so in podcasting as well. This is our contribution to keeping it that way!
