Audition 3 Beta Preview in Mix

I'm back in the office this morning and just trying to dig back out--it'll take a while. But right there at the top of my email queue was a note that George Petersen over at Mix has posted his take on the beta of Audition 3 that we sent over to him a while back. Enjoy!

Hello Mr.Hart, Congratulations!

BTW, Can I respectfully ask "IF, or WHEN will AA be Mac/OSX ready?"

I can't wait to jump ship from ProTools, and Soundbooth doesn't seem like the ticket... is there hope?

As readers of the blog are probably sick of hearing, there's nothing I can say about this. Sorry! --Hart

Good morning,

I would like to buy AA3 soon.
It should be available as of today ( October 29, 2007 ).
Can you tell me if it is already ready for distribution ?

Thank you very much,
best wishes, Jeff

Jeff, It's not for sale quite yet, but it will be soon! --hart

Hart,

Is the loop collection in AU 3 new or an updated one from AU 2

Cheers

Andrew

We'll include the same set of loops. --Hart

Hart, the new version of Audition is very exciting and I cant wait to upgrade.
Your advice please on this question:does AA3 do everything that the new izotope rx noise restoration app does,in which case it wont be necessary to buy it?
Cheers!

In what I've read it seems RX and Audition's restoration features have a lot in common, but since I haven't actually used RX yet so I couldn't comment on whether Audition 3 does everything it does. I'd suggest grabbing the demo of Audition 3 when it comes out (soon!) and compare for yourself! --Hart

Hart,

When can we expect a demo version of AU 3.

i HAVE AU 2 and really look forward to shipment date.

From what I can see with the new features I may not ever need to use T3, Live, Cubase etc etc again.

Hope you had a great holiday with lots of rest and recreation

Cheers

Andrew

Alas, I can't say any more than "soon." --Hart
