We Demo You Going to MAX
I have 4 of the really good 10GB iRivers to give away - 1 per week - and here's the deal...you have to tell me who you are, what you have built, and why you are going to MAX. Then I will randomly select 1 entry per week until MAX in Vegas.
If you are going to MAX, we want to demo you and your work as part of the various tech stations in the common area of the conference. In order to do this, we need some screen caps or shots of your app, your picture and a description of your app and why you are going to MAX. This means if you build a cool CF app, then its up on the CF screens, a LiveCycle app is up on the LiveCycle screens, etc...
Couple of conditions that will help me think about who gets the iRiver:
- if you think you might get in trouble for doing this, just blur out the logo (any logo) in your app - its the UI, controls and functionality that we want to see (not another weird Web 2.0 name ;-)
- post a photo of you doing your best rock star pose (seriously, ham it up or its not going to win ;-) in the same post
- your blog post title needs to have the words "...going to MAX" in some creative way (if you put "not going to MAX" that's not creative enough)
- your blog post needs to link to this blog post and then I will link a future post back to your post, and so on and so on...
- Im going to stick as many of the demos as I can on the iRiver before I send them out...if it takes too long I will arrange to meet you at MAX and give it to you in person.
I know everyone can't go, and thats a drag (not everyone here can go either), and we will be sure to do other stuff for the folks who can't make it to Vegas over the next year. But for now this is about getting to know who is going, what they do, what they want out of the conference, and how cool their apps are. That's it.
Any questions? Ideas on how to make this better? Comment them...
RULES: There are no rules. Its just common sense for me to do this.
LEGAL: This is me sending some peeps free iRivers that I got for free - see RULES.
FINE PRINT: Forward this to everyone you know, now. Quick, before I get shut down!!!

Great contest. Thanks, Mike G
My entry. Thanks!
I hope my entry is not too late:
My Entry
See you at MAX.
My contribution
I posted earlier, but I don't know if it made it in or not.
I'm going to Adobe Max to meet JavaScript Geeks. So far meeting other JavaScript Geeks has been problematic. I can only seem to find them in the virtual world, on forums and blogs and such. I'm hoping MAX will have whole rooms of real people that can understand me;)
Here's a link to a particularly geeky bit of interactive 3D scripting in PDF. You'll find an intersting picture of me at the bottom of the blog entry.

I am going to Max to hear Ben Forta discuss Sex ?? Read More About This Here
Hi Ben,
This is my contribution. I hope you find it useful!
Cheers,

Hey Ben,
Just posted up an entry on my site about MAX/MAXUP and a MAXUP session I'm going to give about integrating Flash with electronics/robotics kits. Don't think I followed all your rules for entry into your contest, but just wanted to help get the word out about MAX/MAXUP and my session.
All the best!
Rob
Hi Ben,
This is my blog entry - I am going to Adobe MAX to MIN.
As I am a Chinese, there are a lot of non-English characters in my blog. (Of course for MAXUP, it is in English) Sorry about that~
Cheers

any news on the winner for this week?
Ben,
My Mobile iCalendar Reader is Going to MAX.
I’ll see you in Vegas!

I'm going to Max to be a better LiveCycle junkie!. See my entry at http://www.ledet.com/blogs/sla.html
I'm going to MAX to meet many old friends from Flash publishing days (dev & design books); also to hook up with a lot of folks I'm working with currently in my position at O'Reilly. We've got a new co-pub arrangement with Adobe, called Adobe Developer Library, so it'll be interesting to ask others what forms they'd like ADL to take; what they need in terms of resources, both online and in print.
MAXUP sounds like terrific fun; reminds me of O'Reilly FooCamp and DigiFooCamp.
See you soon,
--Steve
