Now that Windows 7 has officially been released by Microsoft, we have received many questions about Audition and Soundbooth compatibility. We are pleased to report that the current versions of Audition and Soundbooth are working well with Windows 7 and many of us here have already made the switch on our primary machines.
We worked closely with Microsoft during the development phase of Windows 7 and were able to iron out any incompatibilities early on. We are currently using Windows 7 on many of our test machines and have been pleased with the performance of Audition and Soundbooth with Windows 7.
Please let us know if you find any problems using Audition or Soundbooth with any flavor of Windows 7. Also, be sure to check with your sound card or audio device manufacturer for any device driver updates.

How did you do it?! I can't for the life of me get Soundbooth CS4 to run under Win7x64, I've tried different compatibility modes, running as Administrator, etc and nothing allows me to get past the ExporterAVI filter at startup before crashing.
Hi CC,
This is most likely a device driver issue with your video card or some type of plugin problem and not a specific Windows 7 issue. See this forum thread for more info and suggestions on how to resolve it.

i cannot for the life of me get aa3 to run unter win7 x64.
i have tried several reinstalls, from clean os installs, and it always freezes up at the cannot find support audio device error.
just built a new i5 system. using an intel dp55wg mobo with the latest drivers up to date from intel, realtek sound drivers.
Well it was a simple fix based on a problem with the ExporterAVI Plug-in.
In the \[install directory]\Adobe Soundbooth CS4\Plug-ins\Common folder there is a file called Blacklist.txt, I simply added the offending plugin to the list ("ExporterAVI") and was able to launch Soundbooth again.
Much as people want you to go through an inquisition about OpenGL drivers and have you reinstalling entire operating systems, it boiled down to a simple plugin. Blacklist the offending one and narrow down the issue.
I am using W7x32.
I have Audition 3.0 and I am having problems with the the program freezing in multi-track mode. I have gotten several errors, one being R6025.
Any thoughts?
Hi Greg,
I'm not sure what's causing this problem. Please send a list of the steps you take prior to it freezing along with your system info (Help>About>System info) to audbugs@adobe.com.

Just a quick note that there are still loyal (but grumpy) users waiting for the mac version of audition.
Is it really that hard to port?
We all wait for Adobe Audition 4 and hope that it will bring innovation & easy to use interface.
No more CPU/ram hungry software please !
Having trouble with Audition changing bitrates after a recording pause. Support was no help and quite frankly I'm looking for a new audio editor for our broadcast shop. The last two installs of Adobe were painful and this new problem with 3.0 is a deal breaker.
Hi Kevin,
Are you running Audition 3.0.1 with Windows 7? Send me some details about your configuration and I'll have someone follow-up with you to try and figure out what's happening.

Since I installed the latest realtek driver I got some strange error messages.
With help from the Forum I could solve most of them.
But the major one the R6025 error still maintains.
I have a Medion computer with a Core2 duo processor only 1MB memory.
The OS is Windows7 32bit. There is about 1.2 TB free HD space.
The version of Audition is 3.0.1
When I start Audition 3.0.1 I come to the multisession tab. When I try to go with the mouse to the edit tab it does not allow me or it gives me the message: Shutting down...
To continue working where you left off, please restart Audition. with only the Ok Button. When I click that I get the R6025 message.
When I load a file in the multisession tab and then try to drill to the edit mode I get the same messages

Please, please, please include more routing features in AA4! We need side chaining routing capability to VSTs desparately! Thanks.
