IP over powerlines
IP over powerlines: High-speed internet connectivity over existing electric powerlines will apparently not be blocked by US government agencies, according to last week's FCC decision. Jim Hu says "won't everyone have cable or DSL?" and Om Malik notes how low-hanging fruit in urban areas may be a first target, but I think it's a good thing for us overall to have multiple channels towards connectivity, particularly for non-urban and roaming uses.
