Google News priorities
Google News priorities: Ray Camden writes here of being surprised to find a blog item of his republished without his knowledge on a Sys-Con site. I chimed in in his comments about an even stranger thing I experienced yesterday... I was searching Google News on "macromedia" and found a Sys-Con republishing of an op/ed I blogged here Monday. I personally appreciate that someone found that observation useful enough to spread further -- certainly beats finding my words used in spamblogs -- and I'm not worried about them trying to assert their copyright tag on my word. But why would Google News judge the duplicate newsworthy, yet the original not newsworthy...? ;-)
