Player releases
Player releases: Two news bits for Adobe Flash Player today... new Universal Binary standalones, and the auto-update has been turned on. The above link goes to the Player Support download pages... here's info from Program Manager Jennifer Chang: "The Player team released a new Player this week, a Universal Binary standalone Player. Previously, the Mac standalone Players were for PPC-based Macs only. A content debugger version of the UB standalone Player is also available. The UB standalone Players are now also fully localized (in the 8 languages that Adobe Flash Player supports), so there is one binary that can be used to output projectors in any language." Also, while the fullscreen Adobe Flash Player 9.0.28 has been the standard download since early November, now people should start seeing little system tray reminders that there's a new version available... 9.0.18 Players without fullscreen playback should start to decline now. (Overall installation rates are still above five million each day, far in excess of global population growth.)
