Reminder, tighter Player
Reminder, tighter Player: Newspaper headlines are running with a book author's promotion this week, so you may see scary headlines about Player security. I'd sort of like it if Adobe PR and Adobe Security came out and smashed this media campaign, but if you've been reading the news, you're already aware that old SWF which assumed permission to communicate with a server or browser will now require explicit permission before doing so. Websites which may have been safe a few years ago are now vulnerable to new exploitation methods, so the Player needs to tighten. If you can check your old sites so they continue to work after the tightening then you'll have a smooth experience, thanks.
