In the Layers panel, Control (Mac) / Right Mouse (Win) -click the eye icon for any layer and select a color from the list. This can be very helpful when working with complex, multi-layers documents. Note, the Background layer can not be color coded. To convert the Background into a layer by selecting Layer > New > Layer From Background (or by double clicking on the word Background in the Layers panel).

Hi, Thanks for all the great information you provide. I have been using Adobe programs since the late 80´s. I still miss the possibility to color code the brush menus, and maybe also have a Blend Mode option for each brush by the brush icon/name. The Blend Mode option would be great if you could control the specific brush ”on”, or ”off” using the Global (present) Blend Mode. What I also miss is the possibility to have several brush menus open at the same time. All the best. /Patrik
Great feedback Patrik, thank you. I would post the issue to either of these forums so that the product management team can see it as well.
