Double clicking the Quick Mask icon in the Tool panel in Photoshop enables changing the color of the Quick Mask overlay. This can be helpful when viewing the Quick mask over an image where the subject or background is similar to the default red overlay.  Note: changing the Quick Mask color will also change the Overlay option (in View Mode) when in Refine Edge.

Generally I prefer to use the Layer Mask over the quick mask tool, however, this does come in very handy when shooting commercial products. I shoot a lot of white or silver products on a white background. Being able to do this and change the color of the mask really makes a difference when trying to cut a white product out of a white background. Thanks for the tip.
