Making Finer Adjustments in Lightroom’s Develop Module

Adobe Lightroom Classic

When making adjustments in the Develop module, you can click within any of the numeric entry areas to set a specific value. Then, use the arrow keys to modify the value (add the Shift key to modify in larger increments). However,  if you prefer to make changes using the sliders, click-drag to extend the develop module panel to make finer adjustments. Adding the Option (Mac) Alt (Win) key will allow you to expand it even farther.

Position the cursor over the left edge of the panels. The curser changes to double headed arrows. Click and drag left/right to resize.

Position the cursor over the left edge of the panels (where the red arrow is pointing). When the cursor changes to a double headed arrow, click and drag left/right to resize.

Note: this shortcut works with any of the panels in Lightroom.

Too bad that the point curve window expands as well. Here you really want a bigger window.

    Hi Julianne

This is a really handy feature, thanks for sharing! This works for me on my Mac, but I’ve been unable to replicate it on my Windows PC – using the Alt key doesn’t seem to let it move any farther. I’ve tried it in the Develop and Library modules.

Is there something else I could be missing?
