Option-Command (Mac) / Alt-Control (Win) + Shift + F creates a new frame when working with the Animation panel (set to Frames, not Timeline).

Photoshop can open .mov files so if needed, convert your audio to .mov. Then, make sure that you have the Audio Playback option enabled by clicking the small icon that looks like a speaker on the Animation (Timeline) panel to listen to the audio. Drag to reposition the in and outpoints if needed and render (File > Export > Render Video) as a QT movie to maintain the audio layer (all other formats will delete it).

In order to apply a filter to all of the frames of a video layer, be sure to convert it into a Smart Object before applying the filter (Layer > Smart Objects > Convert to Smart Object). Otherwise, the filter will only be applied to the currently selected frame. As an added feature, because the filter is being applied to a Smart Object, not only is it non destructive, it’s parameters and mask can be changed at any time without penalty.

Shift click to select multiple keyframes in the Animation  “Timeline” panel .  Then, Option (Mac) / Alt (Win) -drag either the start/ending keyframe to  scale (evenly distribute to condense or extend the length) the selected series of keyframes.

Option (Mac) / Alt (Win) -click the disclosure triangle to the left of the layer name (in the Animation “Timeline” panel) to show/hide all options for all layers.

Option (Mac) / Alt (Win) -click the current time display (in the upper left of the timeline) to toggle between displaying an animation’s Timecode vs. Frame Number.

Use the Up/Down arrows to move to the In/Out point of the currently selected layer. Note: if your video extends the length of the entire work area it may appear that this shortcut moves from the beginning to the end of the timeline.

Shift  + Home/End key will move you to the beginning/end of the Work Area in the Animation panel. Note: it may appear as if you’re moving from the beginning/end of the timeline if your “work area” and “timeline” are the same length.

With the Animation panel showing, tapping the Spacebar will start/stop the playing of the animation.
