IBC is fast approaching! Check out the Microsite!

Hello, my friends. Well, it would seem that the road is once again calling upon us, as we (the evangelists) are about to embark on several months of constant touring! We've just returned from a brief offsite on the East Coast of the US, shooting new footage and assets, some of which I'll be showcasing at Adobe Live! Stockholm (4 Sept) and at IBC in Amsterdam, 7-11 September.

First, before you go any further, check out my brief, late-night, semi-poorly-lit (but still, information-rich) video...

And now, check out this awesome ADOBE at IBC MICROSITE created by the Adobe Benelux team. Slick, stylish, and FULL of information. Click on the tabs at the bottom to find out when, where and how you can find us at the RAI, Hall 7. You can also get a complete schedule of the theatre presentations on each day.

So, what else can I say at this late hour? I am about to return to my 'other' home (the netherlands), evangelize CS3 in all it's glory with my colleagues, speak to thousands of people across the globe, and continue to spread the 'Creative License' word...and I can't wait. I'll be posting more about Adobe Live! Stockholm as well, so be sure to stay tuned.

Until next time,

Blog on.

Hi Jason,

The audio quality on that video on mircosite is poor and it stutters heavily on my MBP.

Thought you should know.

Hi Jason,

Sorry to be writing this as an unrelated reply to your blog, but I don't know how else to communicate with you.

First, thanks so much for all of your excellent work for Adobe Audition, particularly including your fantastic Total Training instruction courses (I've gone through all three). As a jazz bandleader and drummer, Audition has changed my professional life; I now make live multitrack recordings of my gigs that are better than the recordings I used to make in the studio, because I now have control over all the elements.

Something that would be great would be if you might have the time and Total Training might have the interest to create a comprehensive training series for Audition 3. What would be very helpful would be a course that teaches every audio concept, every filter (and the theoretical knowledge that underlies each filter), and every application of Audition (including the application to live multitrack recording, which hasn't been explored yet in your courses) in detail and from the ground up, just as other Total Training courses teach products like After Effects. I think Audition is a great enough product that it deserves that kind of treatment, and I think you are on a par with Total Trainings very best instructors so that you would be able to deliver it. Such a course might help to drive sales for Audition.

Also, please let the people at Adobe know that the only thing that keeps me from switching to a Mac is my love for and reliance on Audition. I hope they take it seriously and keep supporting it because there's nothing for my purposes that compares to it. I understand that there's something about the code that would make it difficult to create a Mac version, but if they ever do I'm sure it would be a huge success (and then I could make the switch to that platform!).

Anyway, no matter what, thanks again and keep up the great work.

This is GREAT feedback, Chuck, truly. Thanks for all the positive comments on the series, and I'm defiinitely looking forward to doing 'something' for Aud3 in the near future. I'll actually be conducting some 'pre-release' training at CBI (College Broadcasters) in Washington, D.C., 23-26 October. I believe the site is CBI.ORG. Might want to check that out. Anyways, keep me posted, and stay in touch. All the best. ~Jason

Thanks for all the interesting informations. great video :)
