NAB, Post-Plane Nausea, and My 1-Year Blogiversary
Hello my friends! Well, today marks a special day for a number of reasons. As stated above, NAB has officially begun, with the conference-proper commencing on Monday, 14 April. If you're around, we'd love to see you! So be sure to check out the Adobe Booth located in the South Hall, SL3220.
On the main stage, you'll get a chance to see yours truly, along with many of my fellow Adobe colleagues. We'll also be featuring some Adobe Trade Show regulars like Jacob Rosenberg (Filmmaker, Premiere Pro Master), Steve Holmes (After Effects wizard), Rich Harrington (Photoshop & Video Guru) and more. Also, we'll have some really cool customer presentations, showcasing real-world workflows of Adobe products, in every facet of the industry (from commercials, to film, to broadcast TV). As for my post-plane nausea....well, if you've ever flown into Las Vegas, you'll know that there's always wicked turbulence upon touchdown. Always. And naturally, I prep myself accordingly (hello, dramamine, are you there?)...but this trip (a short plane ride for me) was turbulent the ENTIRE time. So much, in fact, that the flight attendants never got to serve drinks, and were confined to their seats for the entire flight. I nearly barfed. I was so green upon arriving, that I couldn't wait to get outside...but then I had to wait in the ubiquitous NAB Taxi queue.
Now, this queue tends to move quickly...but because it's outside you've also got people smoking, exhaust fumes from all the hundreds of taxis, and all the HEAT from the desert, the asphalt, etc. (gulp). Needless to say, I had to drink about a gallon of water upon arriving at the hotel, and literally needed to lay down for a bit. Fortunately, I'm back to normal now. Ugh...looks like I'm going to have to up the dosage next time. lol.
But onto brighter, happier, less-nauseating things (or perhaps this *is* nauseating, depending on whom you ask) but this week also marks my one year anniversary as a Blogger. ;) I've come a long way from the 'every coupla weeks/months' posting schedule...but I can still improve, I know ;) (and yes, some of you have told me!!) Thanks to all the readers, users, customers, friends, colleagues, etc. who keep me posting and always make things interesting. Should be another great year for blogging and spreading the word about CS3 and more! ;)
So, with that, I'm planning on meeting up with Greg anytime soon (most likely, Hofbräuhaus...it's not Munich, but it's darn close...well, as close as you'll get. Simulated Bavaria...where else in the world but Las Vegas? ;))
