If It's Tuesday, It Must Be Belgium...or Korea!

Hello, my friends! Just a quick update from the road to let you know that we've arrived in Korea to begin kicking off the CS3 Masters Tour - ASIA.

As promised, I've got a couple of additional links for Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. If you're looking to register for any of those cities, check out the following:

So, I'll be writing more soon, but in the meantime, check out this cool online invite that was designed by some of our Adobe colleagues for the Hong Kong event...

Big kudos to all the Asia teams for really promoting these events! It's going to be a blast, for sure. So, stay tuned for more and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Somebody likes old movies? And I'm wondering what the connection could be between you guys and those white karate people at the bottom right of the ad...

LOL! So true, Matthew, so true. And the karate characters? Well, I *did* study Hapkido when I was about 14, but beyond that...LOL. Take care. -JL

It's OK.. jason ;-)

LOL! Thanks, stranger! It took me a minute to 'get' what you were talking about...and then I remembered. "It's Ok, It's Ok". Very funny indeed. Thanks for writing, and stay tuned for more! Take care. --JL

today's speech at jw marriot , hk, is really funny, thx all u guys.

yeah , many questions for u to ask..haha...hope u enjoy your stay in hk, here's a real cool chill out place , and a uniquely beautiful city.

First , i'd like to ask , that dubbing vox talent...is that "Downey Fountain" ?how does it spell?

Second , Are u a friend of johnny ,b4 working wit him? u said u've sung backing vocal for him, really?

Third , (yeah , remaining 2 to go )Isn't it capable of speaking in low vox, if u intake real deep breathe and trap it in your tummy down-low , and speak slowly, still not hurting the vox & throat muscle?

hav u written books about mixing /mastering ? or in other formats?

bless ya~

Hey Pal. Thanks for the nice comments. We had a great time at the seminar yesterday in HK. Ok, onto your questions: For question one, I think you were asking about the 'movie voice' guy? His name is Don LaFontaine, and he's a legend. For question 2, yes, Johnny and I are pals; I've engineered all the recordings that you heard, and I'm singing the background vocals on "Chroma Key You" (which you can see me create on my AdobeTV Series, "Short & Suite". And Q#3: with regard to 'low, gravelly speaking voices', the general thinking is, if you don't have it, you can't really create -- but, proper use of your diaphragm & breathing (similar to the way you described) is a good way to achieve even-toned speech, and also protect your throat from damage. I don't have any books, but I do have a few series through TotalTraining.com, and of course, AdobeTV. All the best! --JL

it seems , audio man worldwide just share a similar mind, passionate, work hard, play hard, humble, kind, addicted in making jokes, helpful,& try hard to make more $$$ thru a fun way.... XD

thx 4 suggesting your "Short & Suite" pgm.would see it later.

tried any chinese food yet? dont miss that, tho your lower 3rd is somewhat exaggerated...

all the best, in return~

Thanks, Pal. I hope you'll enjoy the Short & Suite programs. They're indeed 'a riot' (ie, funny), but there's lots of great, real workflow information there. And yes, I've already greatly indulged in some truly-awesome Chinese food. Couldn't you tell? LOL. --JL
