Re-Make/Re-Model
Hello again, my friends! As you can see, I'm once again on-a-roll with respect to musical allusions...this one, referring to the classic 1971 Roxy Music tune of the same name (ie, Re-Make/Re-Model). If you've never heard that song, seek out their live performance of it from 1973 on the classic German TV Show Musikladen (formerly, Beat-Club). You can find it on You Tube; it'll freak you out!
However, that's *not* what I'm here to tell you about! As you may have seen, the blog has undergone a complete re-make/re-model of it's own, and all of this courtesy of my fellow evangelist pals, Rufus and Greg.
Click the link below to see the old blog design ;)
Rufus spent the afternoon (yesterday) creating the new design and imagery, and then worked with Greg on implementing the new design elements. Greg topped it off by cleaning up my CSS mess and turning the site into what you see now (including a little space for my 'Tweets', just as they have on their blogs)
Just in case you've forgotten, here's the OLD blog design

So, I hope you dig the new look and feel. I certainly do. Let me know your thoughts! Truly now, 'healing' people daily, huh? LOL. Love that graphic, Ruf! LOVE IT!
Until next time,
Blog on.

Hey Mordy! It's great to hear from you. Thanks for the comment; truly an honor to know that you approve. ;) So, how are things? I heard you were going to be in Australia doing a gig. Sorry we couldn't have hooked up. All the best to you and yours. --JL

Dude. It's SO much better! And Rufie nailed it with that top graphic. Love the glowing hand (or is that an orb in your hand)... Classic Levine. ;)
Blog on dude, blog on. Sorry I'm not on the road with you guys this time...

Hey Stef!! So glad you like it! Yeah, our boy Ruf really knocked it out of the park (and Gregoire did some magic with the CSS too; as you saw, a total mess before!). You're definitely missed on tour; but I'll see you real soon! ---Jase

Howdy!
It really love this new design. I'm kinda scared of your healing hand, which also can look like a growing nuclear bomb, but it's still nicely done!

Haha...nuclear? Dude, I'm totally 'green', don't you know? ;) All the best. --JL

hello! i was at the Taiwan Adobe session...."In a world where man is nothing...." ;-o
there was one question i meant to ask:
Why dynamic link was not used between Encore and Premiere?
I saw how Encore switch to photoshop but when it's about video file, something like Premiere. It didn't use dynamic link? because Encore is (native?)only for psd file?
the puppet tool is really cool...is it a upgraded function from AE using anchor points?
but i don't have access to the programs....so I AM NOT HEALED!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhh....
----
Hey Tongo. Unfortunately, we don't currently support Dynamic Link from Premiere into Encore; but as you saw in yesterday's demonstration, you *can* use Edit Original, which is also very powerful and useful. However, you can still import all different types of videos (natively) into Encore as well, including H.264 M4V (as you saw, during the BluRay part of my preso), AVI, MPEG2, MOV and others. With regard to Puppet Tool, it's a rather unique 'tool' altogether - much more complex than simply animating anchor points. Stay tuned to my AdobeTV series "Short & Suite", as the next batch of episodes released will have a whole section on the creation of the "I'm Your Puppet" video that I showcased. All the best. --JL

Hey Babsi! So good to hear from you! Glad you like the design ;) Admittedly, I can't take any of the credit -- it was all Rufus and Greg -- though the 'Bass Clef' was my idea ;) --JL
