Infrared, bobbleheads, & bone-crunching hits
- Get down, do you? Sport Shooter talks about the details of Peter Read Miller's low-angle shooting, which makes for some extra-dramatic images. [Via] (Turns out this even works for former Photoshop PMs/Adobe execs. ;-))
- Elsewhere on the site, Peter Lockley uses infrared & a tilt-shift lens to offer a fresh take on baseball.
- Sports Illustrated is hosting a gallery of photographer Bill Frakes' best shots. Gotta love those bobbleheads.

Those infrared shots are incredible. During the first few photos I really couldn't decide whether they were real or little model replicas. Especially this one reminds me of Jake and Dinos Chapman's Hell (discretion advised). Mind you it's a lot more impressive when seen on display, the entired setup is huge.
[Wow--interesting, twisted stuff--kind of a modern take on Hieronymus Bosch, but creepier for its lack of fantastic creatures. --J.]
