Monday Photography: Cities in Dust
- Slate features a slideshow discussing Detroit's Beautiful Ruins. "It's like Berlin or Warsaw in 1945. Just as in post-World War II photos of those ruined cities, the most shocking thing is to see people carrying on their everyday lives in the midst of so much physical destruction." [Via]

The view out of the window in this image http://www.marchandmeffre.com/detroit/index03.html
is a bit odd as it's a typical big American city street with lots of people but no cars at all.
Only thing I can think of is that a marathon or something is taking place. Looks very odd.

I am sorry I lied about that. I went back and looked and that pano thing is amazing work
as a picture of the decline of detroit the pano is great, as a photo it's horrid. It isn't a panoramic shot, its just a bunch of photos slapped end to end
