Deke’s “Photoshop Top 40″

Our old friend & true Photoshop guru Deke McClelland has begun posting his list of the top 40 features in Photoshop–beginning with #40 and working up to #1–one weekly video at a time. The Lynda.com folks write, “Some are tools, others are commands, still others are conceptual. All are invaluable. Learn these 40 features and you’ll know Photoshop.”

Deke posts a new video each Tuesday. Check out this page for an updated list of everything that’s gone live so far.

    #1 Color correction (big topic)
#2 Stamp tool (the manual one not the newfangled healing tools even though they are cool)
#3 Radial Blur filter – just because it’s STILL got that old school Mac OS 7 interface and can make your new MacPro cry uncle on a big image. ;-)
[You really should check out the Pixel Bender plug-in for CS4, as it offers more modern versions of Radial Blur. --J.]
#4 The Black Arrow (aka the Move tool) – has migrated to all Adobe apps
#5 Gaussian Blur – When the client wants you to merge 2 images and one needs enlarged 400%, you gotta use something to make ‘em look the same.
