“Enhance!” Redux

Heh–here’s a nice little satire of phony image enhancement on TV (see previous montage):

Of course, image scientists continue to work on all sorts of new craziness, so it’s all just a matter of time… right?

    Thanks for the post! “Enhance” is one of my biggest pet peeves.
    I’m sure you’re being tongue-in-cheek when you ask whether it’s “all just a matter of time,” but many people don’t realize that it is not merely a matter of time. As I explain in a blog post, Jerry Bruckheimer-style “enhance” is mathematically impossible.

    I really, really need that UN-crop function in PS CS5! Please don’t let a trifle like mathematical impossibilities stop you from gving your customers what we need.
