Hmm, not sure I like it but I could get used to it.

I've used it for years and could not help noticing that there is no longer a "Disconnect" button. Really? Ordinarily, I would use this so that I would be presented with the Favorites or generic "connect" screen again to not only *disconnect* but to recycle the window for another session. I looked in the "Customize Toolbar..." settings but could not find it. I thought "Places" would be a cool place to jump to another connection but that is another feature that is actually pretty nice. I see there are tabs - only if you turn them on! - that help keep your connections tidy. This helps keep thing in one window but I'd STILL like to be able to kill my connection while leaving the window open.

Agreed. Transmit 4 is first-rate. As with all Panic Software products, the UI design is a thing of beauty. I wish they'd publish a book on UI design, or at least recommend to us the ones that they've read! :)

Thanks, John, and congrats back on CS5.
You may be happy to hear that our last big office cook-off featured *vegan* food, in fact. That'll give the ol' arteries a break.
Feel free to stop by again!

A great release. :)
It would be 100% great if Adobe would stop believing that "looking forward" doesn’t mean "shift Flash to other devices than Apple mobile devices" and would start to think about HTML5 development and dropping Flash once and for all. Like the whole other world - except some Flash developers. hat makes me a little sad. Flash would have never been "awesome on the iPad". It’s even crappy and slow on Macs. Why on the iPad?? And why start using old technology when new standard technologies are just millimeters away. Something like this is just pathetic: http://bit.ly/cWgJpZ It shows the inability of preparing for the future.

I've used Transmit for years and like the upgrade a lot but I don't think the Places grid is a good substitute for the sidebar. It's almost like they tried too hard there.
