That’s just amazing. I love the difference between the ‘preflashes’ that appear to be only a frame or two (9k Hz or faster) and the main ionization trail that builds and lingers.
Truly spectacular capture. (btw – my domain is lightningsymphony, named for a song by a band in San Diego. Trivia, you know)
That must have been a fairly intense two seconds!
