    Actually, there’s every reason to believe that the waveforms *are* representational — just compressed relative to their actual shape on the string. But that makes it even more cool to watch. Check out how excitation style changes the shape of the wave — gentle strums yield softer sounds and sine-wave curves; harder plucks yield triangular (or even spikier) waveforms, reflecting the harsher harmonics. Very cool, thanks!
