Photoshop & body image

You may have seen recent headlines like “Photoshopping Sends Unhealthy Message to America’s Youth, [American Medical Association] Says.”  The Photoshop team agrees, and you can see the AMA statement plus PM director Maria Yap’s thoughts on the Photoshop.com blog.

    Wow- Adobe struggles with keeping “photoshopping” from becoming a generic term like kleenex, scotch tape and xerox but when the reference is negative, there’s the capital letter. Damn. I’m glad the AMA language targets the alteration of photographs and not a software tool.
