$79 mysteriously translates to £59.09 from the UK Adobe Store. Perhaps I’ll try buying this from the US store. Even with conversion charges the download version should cost less!

Good job on Lightroom 4. I just finished installing it and it works great. I think you should drop the Mac platform as they still own less the 10% of the computer market and they are all a bunch babies saying the Iprograms are so good, but really have no functionality and can not afford to buy proper programs after overpaying for their Macs! Just a thought?!!

For once, Adobe should be congratulated, for lowering the price of a key product in these tight economic times. I look forward to seeing less Flash and more iOS and HTML5 integration into this and future versions of Lightroom. Until then, kudos to the Adobe staff for Lightroom 4.

Does this come with the complicated and oh so fragile install process like the pro apps? Ie. will I be sad that I bought Lightroom when I upgrade my computer? Or has that been improved?

i think iphoto is good enough for your mobile phone shots.. so for you it´s the right decision.

but many of us are interested in image quality.. and for them i photo is no option.

$79 for an upgrade? I understand you guys want to make some money from your software, but I’m seriously thinking about switching to iPhoto. It’s a cheaper option – sure it does less but I don’t need much these days (shooting film) – and it’s available on iOS as well.

If you guys had an iOS version of Lightroom, it would be much more interesting to stay with Adobe.

the new develop modul is great.

the geotagging features are a joke.
a friend has coded a freeware geoencoding plugin that is so much better and has so many more features ist really a shame for adobe to come up with such a simple thing.

I recently asked how to get images from Revel to Adobe Photoshop Touch… go to Revel, download to camera roll, go to Touch upload image, correct and repeat.

I also note that the Adobe updater updates everything except Lightroom…

I agree with everything you’ve said but you might look to your own house. Love Adobe products but they’re sure not perfect.

After trying the beta, went to buy the full version but your regional stores are all screwed up.

I’m in New Zealand and at the NZ Adobe store and it’s wanting to charge me $187 Australian Dollars for it (that’s USD $200!)

Why charge 33% more for the same download? And why not charge in NZD from the New Zealand store? I’d be stung currency conversion charges on top of that too.

Sorry John, it was enough to turn me from “OMG must get it now” to “Oh well, will wait and see if I still want it when it comes out in stores here”
