Installation of CC 2015 applications uninstall CC 2014 applications by default

An important piece of information that you need to be aware of before installing CC 2015 digital video applications is that the installation of a CC 2015 application uninstalls the same CC 2014 application by default.

To install the latest version without uninstalling the previous version:

  1. Within the Update Dialog Box, click the arrow to the right of Advanced Options to expose those settings
  2. Uncheck “Remove old versions”
  3. Click “Update”

More details about this can be found in this blog: Creative Cloud Delivering More Choice for Installations. You can also read about this issue and other reasons why you might want to retain previous digital video application in this post on After Effects team blog.

If you have mistakenly uninstalled Premiere Pro CC 2014, and are still using it for some of your projects, you will need to reinstall the application.

This happened to me, also, with Premiere Pro CC2014 uninstalling when I did not want it to. How exactly do I get it back? Thanks.

Where do you find these downloads for CC 2014 ???? Adobe has hidden them well… Not even a search will find them

      Hi Dan,
You have access to Premiere Pro CC 2014 (8.0) by downloading it from the Creative Cloud Desktop application. You can update to Premiere Pro CC 2014 (8.2) from the Creative Cloud Desktop application, as well. Here’s a blog post about that: http://bit.ly/CC-download

I apologize that we don’t have a solution in the Creative Cloud Desktop application for reinstalling Premiere Pro CC 2014 (8.1). You’d need to download those from the third party website, prodesigntools.com

      Thanks,
      Kevin

If you can’t easily figure it out, then this guide will step you through how to get the exact CC release you want or need (from older versions):

    Hope that helps!
