Great idea and thanks for setting up a wiki too!

Just wanted to say, love what you guys and girls are doing at Macromedia. It's great that your involving developers at this early stage, giving us the opportunity to evaluate at such an early stage and listneing to our input.

Flash 8.5, Flex Builder 2 and related technologies are going to be superb for RIA's. Keep supporting standards and ensure we can remain accessibility compliant.

As I develop web solutions for small business its important that Flex is cost-effective for my target group, thanks for listening in the past and keep up the great work, there a lot of commpetition coming!.

I am really looking forward to getting stuck into these apps....

I find this an interesting development considering the imminent Adobe merger. Will this go away or be changed any way post Adobe? Or is this in fact an Adobe motivated project? Either way, I really like this idea, and I hope it stays and gets better over time.

Install for Mac?

It's great that MM is releasing so early. Also, glad that Flex is driving this update to the player just like Flash often does!

I'd really really really like to see a set of migration tools from Flash to Flex for those of us who started down the enterprise Flash path before Flex matured.

Great Idea Guys !! Go Forward MM

Yeah, where is the installs for Mac?

This is really awesome. I echo: Where is the install for Mac? This is a must for a lot of us to adopt Flex.

PLEASE make a Mac OS X version, even a binary for MacIntel?? Please, we WILL buy this!

I think this is great! Im looking forward to running most of our Web Applications from Flex, Specially now that the price tag dropped dramatically!

Thanks for the Macromedia labs!

However there's a "bug" already - there is an invalid apostrophe on the Welcome message. Excerpt below:

"This blog and it's RSS feeds..."

The above is syntactically incorrect (a typographical error; "it's" is a contraction for "it is" or "it has."

) the text should read:

"This blog and its RSS feeds..."

(without the apostrophe)

Keep up the good work!

Hey, folks! Thanks for the good words re:Labs, hope you're enjoying the alpha. On the subject of a Macintosh version of Flex/Flex Builder, Mark Anders has made a comment on the subject at his weblog here:

http://www.andersblog.com/archives/2005/10/about_the_diffe.html

... but you'll need to scroll down into the comments to get it. Hope that helps provide some context - direct from the source - as to why there isn't a Mac alpha build right now, and what the Flex team's future plans are in respect.

And Christopher- good editorial catch, it's been corrected. ;-)

I 'm in the process of evaluation and will update this feedback as soon as possible

We would be honored if we could be added to this great blog. We are from http://www.worldbusinessforsale.com/

We were looking for a redesign using Macromedia flash, but understand that this may not be the best for Search engine placement. Are there tools available that will allow us to use Macromedia flash and make it taggable?
