Flash Player 9 Update Now Shipping

All releases (Macintosh, Windows, and Linux) of Flash Player 9 Update are now shipping on Adobe.com and are no longer available on Adobe Labs. Final Mac and Windows versions became available on November 14th and the Linux version was called final on January 16th. See the release notes for details regarding changes in the update release of Flash Player 9.

Where can we find the updated Flash Debug Player?
(is there one available yet?)

The ones listed here appear to be the older player.

Hi Pyro-X,

We have not announced any plans to support Flash Player for Linux on PPC platforms.

Hi Jason,

Debugger downloads are all listed here. If one of the downloads is incorrect, please let us know.

I just upgraded to Windows Vista. Will there be updates to all of my favorite Adobe apps to accomodate the new Aero shell? Currently I have to run each program in compatability mode and disable the Desktop Composition, eliminating the Aero effects. Thanks!

Please see the Vista support documentation on Adobe.com for information. This is not the appropriate forum for this question and I do not know the specific support plans for every product line.

I need the older version of flash debug player for linux 9.0.16 or 9.0.28 please help!!! Give me a link where i can download the files..

Hi Ajay,

Archived Flash Player releases are available at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14266; however, there were no Linux releases of Flash Player between 7.0.##.0 and 9.0.31.0 so the versions that you are seeking do not exist.

I have a HUGE interest in Adobe Flash Player for Linux on PPC.

We have 2000+ PPC machines at my office and more and more are running Linux each day.

Hi,

When can we expect at least a wrapper to have Flash Player 9 working on Linux x86-64 and PPC?

It's ridiculous to do the hardest part, and then not finish the portage.

+1 for the linux x86-64 port. I'm sure there's a little more to it than just recompiling, but not much more. At least from a software development perspective.

QA and everyone else, of course, want to hammer it.

Guys any terms about Linux x64? I see this answer more then half a year "The Adobe Flash Player team is working on support for 64-bit platforms as part of our ongoing commitment to the cross-platform compatibility of Adobe Flash Player. We have not yet announced timing or release dates."

Here is the link for x86 http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&P2_Platform=Linux&P3_Browser_Version=Netscape4

Hi Daniel,

Unfortunately we do not have any new news to report.

Daniel,

I have never seen so fast response on the blog sites. Good job. Thanks a lot. :-)
