The third beta release of Adobe AIR Launchpad is now available to download
With Flash Catalyst “Panini,” designers can leverage their skills with Adobe Photoshop®, Adobe Illustrator® and Adobe Fireworks® to rapidly prototype user interfaces for Flex-based websites and applications, and collaborate intelligently with developers who use Adobe Flash Builder™ software. In addition, static artwork can be transformed into interactive projects for the web or for websites and applications, all without writing code.
Flash Catalyst “Panini” includes many new features and enhancements, and offers new integration with the preview release of Flash Builder “Burrito.”
Adobe® Flex® SDK preview release codenamed “Hero” introduces new support for mobile Flex application development, expands and refines Spark components, and includes some great improvements for large application development. The easiest way to explore the new features included in Hero is to use the Adobe Flash® Builder™ “Burrito” preview release.

Acrobat Portfolio SDK provides new developer tools for the Adobe Flash® Builder™ and Adobe Flash Professional environments. Using these tools, developers and designers can now leverage their existing ActionScript and Flex skills to create customized PDF Portfolio layouts (navigators) for use in Adobe Acrobat X. Now the Flash community can target their client deliverables to the PDF ecosystem and Adobe Reader platform.
Acrobat Portfolio SDK extends the Adobe Flex® 4.1 SDK and provides tools for the Flash Builder 4 environment.

Adobe is currently building new mobile development capabilities into the Flex framework. The next version of Flex, codenamed “Hero”, will enable developers to create application experiences that translate well across platforms, and make it easy to build applications that work well on a wide variety of mobile devices. “Hero” will augment a number of existing Flex components with mobile- and touch-optimized skins and functionality, and will also add new components that support mobile-specific UI patterns.

Blueprint is a plugin for Adobe® Flex® Builder™ 3 that allows users to query for Adobe Flex and Adobe Flash code examples found on the Web directly inside of the development environment. Now, you can now use Adobe’s Community Help to search for code snippets from within your Web browser.
Blueprint is now available for Adobe Flash Builder 4 on Macintosh. We are currently working on Windows support but do not yet have an expected release date.

Squiggly prerelease 3 has been released! This update adds support for spell checking in Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, and support for the popular OpenOffice (Hunspell) dictionaries for these languages. Please see the release notes and updated ASDoc for more details.
