Weekly Builds of Text Layout Framework Now Available

The Text Layout Framework team is now releasing new builds on a regular basis. Visitors to the download page will now find new builds made available (almost) every Friday. So far, two non-milestone builds have been posted with more to come in the weeks that follow.

Hub Released on Labs

Hub is a client Adobe AIR application that connects to Adobe LiveCycle ES services for the purpose of generating PDFs or assembling different PDFs into packages. It demonstrates how to connect a client desktop to LiveCycle ES services using Adobe Flex Remoting. The drag-and-drop client interface allows the user to upload files, watch the progress and retrieve the content back to the desktop with a single gesture. Hub was developed in response to customer requests for a client connector to Adobe LiveCycle ES.

PatchPanel Updates Released on Labs

Prerelease 2 of the PatchPanel technology is now available on Adobe Labs.
PatchPanel is a Flex library and set of services that make it possible for Shockwave® Flash® (SWF) files to work as Adobe Creative Suite CS3 and CS4 plug-ins. Flex developers can include this Flex library in their projects in order to create Flash plug-ins that access the ExtendScript Document Object Model (DOM) of Creative Suite applications through ActionScript objects.

Text Layout Framework Released on Labs

The Text Layout Framework for Adobe Flash Player 10, an extensible library that delivers sophisticated and innovative typography, is now available for download on Adobe Labs. The framework is designed to be used with Adobe Flash CS4 Professional or Adobe Flex, and is already included in the next version of Flex, codenamed Gumbo. Developers can use or extend existing components, or use the framework to create their own text components.

Flex Builder Linux Alpha 4 Released on Labs

The fourth prerelease version of Adobe Flex Builder for Linux is now available for download on Adobe Labs. Flex Builder for Linux is an Eclipse plugin version of the software that you can use to build Flex applications on Linux. See the release notes for more information regarding the alpha.

Flex 3 Beta 3 Released on Labs

Beta 3 of Adobe Flex 3 is now available from Adobe Labs.
Flex 3 is a cross platform, open source framework for creating rich Internet applications that run identically in all major browsers and operating systems.
As part of this beta, new versions of the Flex SDK and Flex Builder have been released.

Flex Skin Design Extensions for CS3 available on Labs

In conjunction with the Flex Builder 3 beta on Adobe Labs, new Flex Skin Design Extensions for CS3 are now available for download. These extensions support Flash Professional CS3, Fireworks CS3, Illustrator CS3, and Photoshop CS3.

Flex Ant Tasks Update Release on Labs

An updated version of the Flex Ant tasks ZIP file is now available on Adobe Labs. This update fixes the following issues:
* When the compc or mxmlc tasks fail, Ant now throws a build error.
* Some minor problems with the included build.xml file have been fixed.
