The Photoshop Lightroom 2.1 release candidate is now available on Adobe Labs. The ‘release candidate’ label indicates that this update is well tested but would benefit from additional community testing before it is distributed automatically to all of our customers. The Lightroom team would like the community to help verify the quality of this update through normal usage as this will ensure that the application is tested on a diversity of hardware and software configurations not available internally at Adobe.

In conjunction with the release of the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.3 update on Adobe.com, a new Lightroom Export SDK is now available for download from Adobe Labs. This public prerelease provides a Software Development Kit that will allow developers to enable communication from the Lightroom 1.3 Export Dialog to third party tools, web sites or devices.

Users of Pixmantec RawShooter Premium and Pixmantec RawShooter Essentials now can quickly and easily migrate their content to Adobe’s other imaging products. The Pixmantec RawShooter Migration Tool prerelease, now available on Adobe Labs, is a utility that provides a way to migrate RawShooter settings to visually similar settings within Adobe Photoshop Lightroom or Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, one of the first technologies to be featured on Adobe Labs, is now shipping and available for immediate purchase on Adobe.com. In conjunction with its commercial availability, Photoshop Lightroom is no longer hosted on Labs.
The first release of Photoshop Lightroom is billed as a toolbox for professional photographers that provides the ability to manage, adjust, and present large volumes of digital photos. Learn more or buy this new product from Adobe.

An update to the Photoshop Lightroom beta was released on Adobe Labs this evening that fixes some issues that were present in the original beta 4 release. New downloads have been provided for Macintosh and Windows platforms. Please update your installation of Photoshop Lightrom by going to Labs and downloading beta 4.1 today.
