The Mars Project, an XML-friendly representation for PDF documents called PDFXML, has been updated for the latest versions of Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat. The PDFXML plugins for Reader 9 and Acrobat 9 are now available to download.
The samples and Inspector application for the Mars Project, a set of plug-ins that enable the creation and recognition of an XML-friendly PDF syntax, have been updated. Formerly known as the Mars Package Inspector, the PDFXML Inspector is an Adobe AIR application that displays the internal contents of a Mars document and also allows you to make simple edits.
This evening we released the FrameMaker 7.2 Application Packs for DITA and S1000D on Adobe Labs. These technologies enable developers to fully evaluate and enhance the XML authoring and publishing capabilities within FrameMaker using the DITA and S1000D open standards. More information regarding the Application Packs, DITA, and S1000D is provided within Labs.
