Adobe has published an interesting ‘Customer Success Story’ about how Associated Northcliff Digital, the company that handles the digital assets of the publisher of the UK’s Daily Mail newspaper uses Adobe CRX. You can get it here.
They wanted to move away from an Oracle Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) to a filesystem-based Java Content Repository (JCR). They evaluated the open-source JCR reference implementation Apache Jackrabbit and then decided to go with the commercially supported Adobe CRX which is based on Apache Jackrabbit.
