HTML5 file upload in WEM

It’s not a secret feature in CQ/WEM/DAM, but it’s still comparatively unknown – the HTML5-based file upload capability.

Editing content is so much more fun if you don’t have to open a dialog [click], navigate through your folder structure [click][click][click] and select the file that you want to upload[click]. Now, you can just drag & drop the file from your desktop system onto the web page that you are working on. Depending on the file type, the asset will be rendered according to your page template design; as an image or as a downloadable file on your web page.

Working with the DAM console, you can easily pull multiple assets into DAM – no dialogs, no WebDAV, just one mouse movement. It couldn’t be easier.
