February 14, 2006 is live!

In my September 20, 2005 blog I mentioned the announcement of the Acrobat User Community Initiative which would be underway soon. As of today, the website ( is live, but still under construction. I ask you to take a look – and let me know what you like, don’t like, and what is missing (other than blogs and forums – they’re coming…)

    Hi Lori,

Great to see this new initiative – not just good looking, but fantastic potential for content also (if the early furniture is anything to go on) …

One question, if and when a forum is added to this site, can you foresee a specific reason to post here as opposed to the main support forums?

Another thing, wouldn’t it be great to feature specific tips and tricks from certain countries at certain times of the year. I understand it might be difficult for every single country (even continents), but I’m only too happy to sumbit some material under the UK Union Jack to get the ball rolling (smile!) … Only an idea at this stage but we might find a wealth of different information coming from different people in different regions.

Lastly, when is the merchandise coming? I’ll pay with VISA or MASTERCARD for an extra-large T-Shirt and a Mug !!

Forums: great question and I don’t have an answer for you yet – part of our struggle is just what you’ve brought up – should we point directly at the Adobe User-to-User forums, or create our own set.

Tips: Absolutely! I’m happy to have tips from ALL CORNERS of the world and look forward to your first submission.

Merchandise: There will be some items for sale eventually, but I do have some branded items already – I have pens, I have shirts (on the way) and some USB keys (flash drives). Many of these items will be raffled off at the live meetings.

So… are you ready and willing to start a live chapter in your neck of the woods?

    Great job Lori, and AcrobatUsers

I have been anticipating this for awhile. Site is super, loads fast and the content thus far is great.

This site causes horizontal scrolling on windows smaller than full-size. This is obnoxious. Otherwise, it’s a good start.
