I have been getting a lot of questions today about which DRKs are included with DevNet Pro Subscriptions. So here is the answer.
When you subscribe to DevNet Pro, you get:
- DRK Special Edition (Contains a selection of the extensions and components from Volumes 1 and 2)
- The current DRK (which is currently 3)
- The next 3 DRKs
So basically, DevNet Pro includes DRK 1 and 2, which were part of Studio MX plus, plus a subscription to DevNet Essentials. Hope that helps clarify the question.

Mike,Thanks for clearing it up for us. Now, how about throwing in a MM Hat and Long-Sleeve T-Shirt…. =)
What happens if you already paid for DRK 1 and 2 when they came out? You get some kind of discount – or should you have known not to have bought them in the first place?

Mike, In my opinion it is getting pretty confusing on what I need to buy to build a Flash app. You guys are releasing so many add-ons to Flash some of which I feel should be part of MX anyway. Please step back and re-look at your strategy. Maybe it would make more sense to release another Flash version that incorporates these new add-ons like the data connector… It just seems that sticking with .Net will give me everything I need to create a good three tier app with web services, remoting, etc. If I go to Flash, than I need to buy all these add-ons and server licensing, etc. just to get access to my server data in a modern way.WHat do you think?
Didn’t want to sound unappreciative with my last post, but it is really positive that you and your team are continuing to develop and expand Flash as a developer environment for Apps beyond fancy advertisements. Thank you.
