Martyn Day just posted a nice review of Acrobat 3D version 8…

Martyn Day gives Acrobat 3D version 8 a thorough review and does a a great job describing the new feature set and how manufacturer’s will be able to use Acrobat 3D to leverate PDF in critical design collaboration workflows including supply chain communications. He predicts that mfg companies will start distributing manufacturable 3D CAD data to suppliers in the PDF 8.1 format.

  1. I only saw this just now. Very interesting though as I have sold Pro/ENGINEER for a couple of years but kinda lost track of the 3D industry. But also in that time already there was a big need for a better neutral way of exchanging 3D data. So good stuff…
