New Version of LiveCycle Workflow SDK Available
Version 7.0.2 of the LiveCycle Workflow SDK is now available to members of the Adobe Enterprise Developer Program. The list of changes in this version of the SDK is available here. If you own Adobe LiveCycle Workflow and aren't a member of the program, please email dev_info@adobe.com. From the webpage, "This version of the SDK includes a guide, Developing Custom Applications for LiveCycle Workflow, as well as updated QPACs: Email with Attachments, JMS Queue Receiver, JMS Queue Sender, and JMS Topic Publisher. As well, new samples demonstrate how to use the LiveCycle SDK API to retrieve a list of forms, retrieve a worklist for a specific user, retrieve a list of processes for a specific process type, and retrieve the status of a specific process.".

Welcome Macromedia!
Well, today's the day that we can finally speak about "The Aquisition". And though some of you are on our case for not blogging about it yet, its not because we're apathetic to it. We weren't legally allowed to speak about the aquisition until it closed (on Saturday).
On a personal note, I'm really excited about it (most of my development history is web based) and can't wait to see what happens when you combine the technologies of the two companies. Lately I've been playing with ColdFusion and Flex, and am working on getting Flex Builder 2 onto our hosted trial server. That should be up in the next few weeks or so. As well, members of the Adobe Enterprise Developer Program, and developers with Macromedia, may want to check out this FAQ which answers some questions about the developer program and Macromedia software.

Developer Days Slides
As promised, here are the two sets of slides from the Adobe Developer Days... The first set of slides is related to Acrobat, and the second set of slides is the presentation about Adobe LiveCycle.
We're planning the second set of Developer Days as we speak. So far, it appears as though we're targetting the month of February, with events in Ottawa and New York, Washington, Atlanta, Austin, Sacramento and San Francisco. Of course, plans may change, but that's our thinking right now. The European events (Paris, London, Amsterdam, Brussells, and a few more) would take place at the beginning of March.
Finally, I had a great phone call yesterday with Arie Avnur who is going to help run a user group in the San Francisco / Bay area. We're hoping to have our first user group meeting around the end of February. If you're interested in participating at that event, by presenting a solution / problem that you have with Adobe LiveCycle, please contact me by posting a reply as this blog.
