Flash / JS Integration

This is a great example of integrating Flash and Javascript, in a way that enhances the experience for end users. If you're interested in doing something similar for your site, check out the instructions on how to do it, and then add a comment to this blog with a URL to your sample site. It just goes to show you that Flash and Javascript can live together happily, side by side. I think I'm safe to say that a similar experience for end users written entirely in Javascript would have been much more complicated, and time consuming, to write.

Hi Mike,

I see no AJAX involved with the demo. Am I missing something there?

FYI: The tab order set within your skip content list causes tabbing within your comments form to mess up. Hitting tab from the name field goes to your skip to comments link, and the next tab takes you into the email filed. tabbing from email takes you to the skip to comments form link and then into the URL field.

Yeah, this isn't AJAX. Just simple some JavaScript.

You guys are right... A bit too early for me on the east coast. That should be Flash / JS integration, not AJAX integration. There's no round tripping to the server in the example.

Mike
