Flash Based Webtop - YourMinis.com

The team at Goowy Media is at it again.  The same team that bought you Goowy Desktop, has launched a new service they call yourminis.  According to their website, its a personalized dashboard of widgets.  Give it a try and let them know what you think.

Michael Arrington appears to be the one that gave these guys the publicity they were looking for.  Read about YourMinis on TechCrunch.

I like the fact that you can integrate videos and podcasts right into the page, and the use of tabs to seperate pages is a great feature as well.

It reminds me a little like JamJar, which Adobe launched a few months ago.

ehh. Something that's been done already, redone in flash just for the sake of doing it in flash, with no added value.
[Actually, I think they're Firefox / Flock plugin and the fact they integrate rich media directly into their application are significant differentiators from this to any other webtop app. - Mike]

Unfortunately JamJar is crashing (well complaining) whenever I click in the 'Describe your slideshow' bit. Hopefully you can route this for me....

Very cool webtop.

Nice to see all the things that can be made possible with today's RIA's.

Has some slight, functional, flaws, but other than that, tres cool!
