Mike Potter

About My Blog

Hi there. Since we haven't met, I guess some introductions are in order. My name is Mike Potter, and my role here at Adobe is to help enterprise developers by providing them resources and a community where they can interact with each other. To that extent, I'm helping to build out the LiveCycle Developer Centers, as well as the enterprise focused forums. I attend a few developer shows as well. Check out our events page for the next one that we're going to, and we can meet in person.

My programming history includes work for OEone (now Axentra), building an open source Linux based desktop program. I thought it was pretty cool - the entire desktop ran inside a customized version of the Mozilla web browser, and it made Linux really easy to use - Linux for grandmas was what we called it. While working for OEone, we open sourced our calendar application, and donated the code to the Mozilla Organization, and I was team leader for the Mozilla Calendar Project for a few years or so. My education background includes an engineering degree from McMaster Univesrity, in Hamilton, Ontario, and an MBA from the University of Ottawa.

In this blog, I hope to discuss elements to the enterprise developer community that we're building. Oh, and I'll probably throw in the odd curling story here or there. And what would an about page be without a plug for my own website, dedicated to the sport of curling.
