Build a better Adobe Developer Site

Adobe and Macromedia are merging their developer programs – and their web pages. It’s a difficult process, as there are a lot of folks with opinions. And I’m concerned that you are getting your fair say in the matter. So let’s see what you think…

Do me a favor. Spend fifteen minutes to mock up a web page that you think we should use for http://www.adobe.com/devnet. It doesn’t have to be pretty – worry more about navigation, or concepts. When you’ve created a page, come back here and link to this blog entry with a comment. Then comment on someone else’s page.Things I’m wondering about include:

  1. What are the most important destinations you want to go to
  2. what tasks are you going to devnet to accomplish?
  3. What bugs you – what doesn’t

OK – Your turn…what do you think?MNR

Be good if you could keep photoshop, illustrator etc seperate from flash, flex, dreamweaver and so forth – I know that sounds a bit like keep Macromedia away from Adobe (which is sort of right 😉 – but the Macromedia dev site was really good – and I really don’t want to have to be looking through all the ‘how to draw’ stuff to get to the ‘how to programme’ stuff. If you get my meaning.:-)

Let us tag what we like so it remembers us.

Please get rid of the flash interface for the MM exchange. I hate looking for extensions with it.

I agree that the Flash interface for searching for extensions was not as good as its predecessor.
