Registration for the Creative Suite Developer Summit is now open
We have just opened the registration for the 2006 Creative Suite Developer Summit.
On November 6, 7 and 8th, Adobe will run a developer summit for third party developers with a focus on the Creative Suite products - Illustrator, InDesign, InCopy, InDesign Server, Photoshop, Version Cue, Bridge, XMP and Lightroom. Our goal is to inform developers about upcoming changes in all products, and to prepare them for the CS3 launch. The summit will include presentations by Adobe engineers and product management on all topics of interest.
Here are details...
The summit will be conducted as a “distributed” conference. Presentations will be broadcast using Breeze, and 3rd party developers can participate in one of three ways:
- Watching a recorded session
- Watching (and interacting) with a live session via Breeze
- or travelling to the location of a broadcast and being part of the “Live Studio Audience.”
The most up-to-date information is always at this blog:

Why is Adobe running this Developer Summit?
Adobe wants developers to have the best information possible to plan their work with Adobe for the next product release cycle. Adobe Engineers and Product Managers will be presenting a wide range of topics regarding strategy and architecture.
Who Can Attend?
Any Adobe Developer that is part of any Adobe pre-release program. You can confirm your eligibility by logging in at https://prerelease.adobe.com/login.html . If you can successfully log-in, you can attend. If you are not a member of any pre-release program, please contact Mark Niemann-Ross at mnr@adobe.com
Who Should Attend?
Any company developing products for the Creative Suite should send representatives. We will include content for Illustrator, InDesign, InCopy, InDesign Server, Photoshop, Lightroom, XMP, Version Cue and Bridge. This information will be of most interest to System Architects, Development Managers and Engineering Managers. Although this will be interesting to developers writing code, it will be of most interest to those developers trying to plan for future integration and product plans.
What will not be available?
This developer summit will not contain any “hands-on” or training sessions. Attendees will not be able to schedule sessions with Adobe engineers to debug code or address specific problems with their development. These questions should be addressed to Developer Support via standard support channels.
What is the cost?
There is absolutely no cost to developers. If you travel, you are expected to provide your own transportation, meals and lodging.
Where will these sessions be broadcast from?
Sessions will be broadcast from San Jose, Seattle and Hamburg. Keep in mind that each location has a severely limited number of spaces available. All sessions will be available online via web conference. Sessions will be broadcast from only one location, and only one time. After that broadcast, the presentation can be viewed from the recording.
What is the schedule of presentations? How do I register?
A complete agenda is listed on the registration pages.
