Here’s how to get the Photoshop SDK

There seems to be some confusion about getting access to the Photoshop SDK. Here’s a process you can follow…

1) There is information about the Photoshop developer program located at http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/photoshop/devcenter.html2) The SDK download is on that page, but is controlled. You’ll need to request access to it. Do that by filling out the form located at http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/photoshop/register/sdk_request.do3) When you click on that link, you will be asked to log into your ASN account. If you don’t have an account, create one – and remember your logon and password. You’ll need it to access the Photoshop SDK!4) The Photoshop team will approve your request, and an automated email will notify you that you have access. It’s my experience that a significant number of these emails are getting trapped in spam filters – so you may never get a notification.5) When you receive that notification (or get tired of waiting) go back to the Photoshop SDK page listed above. Click on the Photoshop SDK you are hoping to download. You will be presented with a logon screen – go ahead and log on, and if successful, you’ll be presented with a license agreement. Scroll down to the bottom, and you’ll be able to click-through to the next page – where you’ll be able to download the SDK.Let me know if this doesn’t work for you – procedures do sometimes change!MNR
