On Monday, May 3rd, we kick off the 2010 Creative Suite Developer Summit with a collection of in-depth and Non-Disclosure sessions. If you want to do some hands on training before the actual first day of the conference (May 4th), here are a couple of suggestions:
First – if you’re considering programming plug-ins for InDesign, I would HIGHLY recommend taking “Adobe InDesign SDK Programming – Getting Started.” Learning to program the InDesign SDK can easily take between two to six months of non-productive time, so getting a kick-start is well worth your time and money. Kris Coppieters returns (for the third year) with this excellent workshop on programming the internals of InDesign. Note that there is a fee for this class, and it requires registration separate from the Adobe Developer Summit. For more details and registration, go to http://www.rorohiko.com/wordpress/workshop-getting-started-with-the-indesign-sdk/
Also – Ben Forta will be running a two-hour introductory class on Flex and Flashbuilder. We’ll be talking a lot about these technologies during the week, so if you haven’t been exposed to this programming environment, it would be well worth your time. The Flex and Flashbuilder 101 class is free, and doesn’t require registration. Just show up.
As always – if you have questions, let me know. firstname.lastname@example.org
