I bought Elements 9 a few months ago. How is this one different, and is there a way to get an “upgrade” from my current version to this one? Thanks.

I also bought Elements 9 awhile ago and have the same question as Ann.

If you recently purchased PSE9, then you have the latest. This version is a release into a new sales channel, and not a new version of the software.

But this release makes it sound like this version is made specifically for Mac. And mine is just called Photoshop Elements 9. This is called Elements 9 Editor.

It’s called Photoshop Elements Editor because it does not include the Elements Organizer (which is a separate application). The Mac App store does not allow for selling bundled applications, hence the reason the Mac App store version is just the Editor.

I have PSE9 on my MAC book pro. I can’t this this question answered! I just downloaded OS-X Lion and since then PSE9 crashes constantly. Is anyone else experiencing this situation? I was on Adobe’s forum and was told to delete the .plst files with anything related to Adobe. I don’t know for certain if ‘all ‘ got deleted since some are imbedded in several folders. Any other suggestions! Very frustrating when using PSE 9 was usually a creative outlet each evening. I sent crash reports with details and I’m at a loss…… Sorry if this isn’t the appropriate place to ask – but desperate!

Hi Holly, do you have any 3rd party plug-ins installed? We’ve seen some issues with 3rd party plug-ins that appear not to be compatible with Lion. Post more details here and we can help you:

i’m trying to edit a gif and cs3 isn’t letting me do it the same way as i did on cs2 or any of the other previous versions. it only lets me view the first frame. it no longer drops all the frames into the measurement log. when i try to drag and drop the gif into the measurement log, the cursor turns into the universal “no” sign.
