Finding Friends on Photoshop.com

Since Photoshop.com launched we have had the ability to “friend” other members. Once you are friends with someone you get updates from that person every time they add new photos & videos or albums to their Photoshop.com gallery. On the flip side, your friends will also get notifications from you every time you add items to your gallery. I find it a helpful way to stay in touch with your friends and family.

To view all your friends activity go to the notification page on Photoshop.com. You will also get any updates sent through email as well. If you are like me, and what to limit the amount of email you get, you can also change your email preferences by going to your account settings.

In the past it has been very difficult to find your friends on Photoshop.com. You had to follow a link to their gallery and then add them as a friend, but there wasn’t even a good way to find that link (pretty much imposible). Today, we’ve introduced the friend finding feature. Now you can find your friends on Photoshop.com by using your contact books on Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo! Mail. To get started, just select the email provider you use. You will be asked to log in to your email account, and authorize Photoshop.com to access your contact book. We will then look through your contact book and find anyone who has a Photoshop.com account. You can then select with people you’d like to send a friend invitation to. If you don’t use one of those three email services, you can also search for a user by email address, but you have to look for people one-by-one. I want to note that we have a lot of users to look through, so it may take a little time, please be patient.

Happy friending,

I don’t want to FIND friends! I want to send a link to somebody. What link (or link to what) do I send?

Your link should be something like this:
(that leads to your home, with your public shared albums).

If you want a link to your profile, it’s something like:

I too would like to send an invite to gain some additional names or manually add them, is there a way to do it ?
